I have a couple friends that have blogs, and I was finally talked into joining the blogging world. Basically Will told me my life was plenty interesting enough and a blog would be a great idea. I think he just wants to keep better tabs on what I'm up to 
I kid, he's a great friend and has gotten me through more than he knows. Thinking about it, his is one of the few friendships that has survived the sands of time. It's not that many past friendships have ended badly. In fact I can only think of one that has. It's more that we just drift apart and lose contact with eachother over the years.
I was giving this subject some thought earlier today. Will is one of the few friends I've had that I can sit down and talk with like back when we were teens. Our interests and directions in life have lead to very differing paths, but that never seems to matter. I wonder why so many other friendships fade away while ours hasn't. It seems with the others that distance is made an issue in one way or another, or we just change too much. I think mostly life just has a tendency to get in the way. I shouldn't worry on the whys and hows and just be thankful our friendship is still going strong after many years.

Blogs are the best! Yes i really do want to keep up on what’s going on in your life so that way on the rare occasions where I do see you we can talk about new stuff instead of just catching up.
I think reasons we’ve stuck together are:
1) effort! You’re always willing to talk to me when you’re online, and I love talking online. The phone just doesn’t do it for me.
2) blog! even if we don’t talk much you’ve always been able to keep up with me via the ol’ blog.
3) personality! I think you and I tend to approach situations in life in a similar way. We’re both tend to apply logic and we’re equally baffled by dumb people.

You know I never gave much thought to number three until now. You are 100% correct though. Stupid people suck.
Effort is a biggie too. I fell we’ve grown apart a bit as life has went on, but neither of us seem to care too much. We have both always made the effort to find common ground. (Sunscreen song all the way here) I also don’t see chatting on line as effort at all. It really is the most pratical as we’re both on so much. Too bad others don’t see it that way too. ^_^
